| Ivan VasilievDancerBorn in Vladivostok. In 2006 after graduating from the Belarusian State Choreographic College joined the National Academic Bolshoi Ballet Theatre of Belarus as a principle dancer. During his studies performed on the stage of that theatre the part of Basil in Don Quixote (Valentin Yelizariev production) and the part of Ali in Le Corsaire (Pyotr Gusev production).
With the Belarusian State Choreographic College participated in tours to Cyprus. In 2006 he took part in Nuriev's International Festival of Classical Ballet in Kazan, where performed Ali in Le Corsaire .
Awards
In 2004, he won the 3rd prize at the International Competition of ballet dancers in Varna (Bulgaria). In 2005, he won the 1st prize at the International Competition of ballet dancers in Moscow. In 2006, he won the 1st prize at the Open Competition of ballet dancers "Arabesque" in Perm (Russia) and Grand Pris at the International Competition of ballet dancers in Varna.
At the Bolshoi Theatre
At the beginning of the season 2006/07 he joined the Bolshoi Ballet. He is going to make his Bolshoi Theatre debut in the part of Basil in Don Quixote.

In 2006 he took part in the 20th International Ballet Festival in Havana where, together with Natalia Osipova, he danced the pas de deux from Boris Asafiev's The Flames of Paris (choreography V. Vaynonen) and the pas de deux from Don Quixote. In 2008, he participated with Natalia Osipova in the Stars of Today and Tomorrow Gala Concert (pas de deux from The Flames of Paris) which wound up the Youth America Grand Prix 9th International Competition of Ballet School Pupils, founded in 1999 by the former Bolshoi Ballet dancers Gennadi Saveliev and Larisa Savelieva; he appeared in Kazan in gala concerts winding up the Rudolf Nureyev International Festival of Classical Ballet, dancing the pas de deux from The Flames of Paris (partnered by Bolshoi Ballet soloist Natalia Osipova); he participated in a Gala Concert of ballet dancers at the Lyons Amphitheatre des Trois Gaules (variations and coda from Don Quixote, pas de deux from The Flames of Paris, partner - Natalia Osipova); within the framework of the First Siberian Ballet Festival, he appeared in the Novosibirsk Theatre of Opera and Ballet production of Don Quixote, dancing the part of Basil (Kitri - Natalia Osipova); he appeared as Count Albrecht in the Novosibirsk State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet production of Giselle (with Natalia Osipova in the title role); 2009 - he danced Solor in La Bayadere (choreography Marius Petipa in a version by V. Awards
In 2007, he was awarded the Triumph youth grant prize. In 2008, he was awarded Soul of Dance Prize in the category "Rising Stars" from Ballet Magazine and received National Dance Awards Critics' Circle (after the Bolshoi Theatre tour in London) in the category "Spotlight Award".
