Yesterday, on July 26, The Bolshoi 239th season got closed. Let's recall what has happened at the theatre during these 11 months?

3 new stagings in the theatre's ballet repertoire:
renewed "Legend of Love" by Yury Grigorovich;
mysterious "Hamlet" by Declan Donnellan and Radu Poklitaru;
eclectic "Hero of Our Times" by Ilya Demutsky, Kirill Serebrennikov and Yury Possokhov.

6 opera premieres:
"The Maid of Orleans" concert version as Tugan Sokhiev's first step at The Bolshoi;
"The Story of Kai and Gerda" by Dmitry Belyanushkin that has wined children hearts over;
"Rigoletto" by Robert Carsen that came to us from Festival d'Aix-en-Provence;
dramatic "The Queen of Spades" by Lev Dodin;
sparkling and stylish "Le Nozze di Figaro" by Evgeny Pisarev
and "Carmen" by Alexei Borodin that took its rightful place.

4 ballets live broadcasted in cinemas all over the world beating all the past records on number of viewers: "A Legend of Love", "Nutcracker", "Swan Lake" and "Ivan the Terrible".

"Baroque. Journey" festival: the concerts and performances by The Bolshoi Orchestra, Opera and Young Artists Opera Program soloists and the biggest baroque specialists from all over the world.

2 orchestra concerts conducted by Gennadiy Rozhdestvensky and Semyon Bychkov in context of "Great Conductors at The Bolshoi" project that will be continued in the next season.

"Dona Nobis Pacem" ballet performed by Tatarsky State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after M.Dzhalil world premiere dedicated to The Bolshoi legendary dancer and choreographer Vladimir Vasiliev's anniversary.

2 great tours:
Japan: "The Tsar's Bride" opera, "Jewels" and "The Flame of Paris" ballets;
2 short tours for "The Taming of the Shrew" ballet by Jean Christophe Maillot: the Year of Russia in Monaco opening and Dance Open festival in Saint Petersburg.

Guest performances on The Bolshoi stages:
Nederlands Dans Theater - evenings of one-act ballets;
Theater an der Vien - "Rinaldo" opera by Handel.

4 Golden Mask Awards:
Ekaterina Krysanova - Best Female Ballet Part (Katarina, "The Taming of the Shrew");
Vladislav Lantratov - Best Male Ballet Part (Petruccio, "The Taming of the Shrew");
"The Taming of the Shrew" - Best Ballet Performance;
Dmitry Beloselsky - Best Male Opera Part (Philip II, "Don Carlos").

1 Benois de la Danse Award:
Svetlana Zakharova - Best Female Dancer.

World Ballet Day: 4 hours of The Bolshoi Ballet life in online broadcast over YouTube.

Collaboration with Google Culture Institute: virtual tour over The Bolshoi and digital exhibitions.

#EmptyBolshoi project with Instagram Russia, during which the popular Instagram users from Russia visited the theatre on its day-off and made some unique pictures.
