You didn't go through this in school! Imagine: the inveterate swindler Khlestakov and a certain Chichikov are good acquaintances. Moreover, the latter is a stunningly handsome man, whose cherished dream is to “become the queen” at any cost. But, as you know, for every rogue there are “a dozen rogues.” And you shouldn’t be surprised that the “case of dead souls” will turn into a real adventurous comedy with elements of mysticism and love melodrama. And the ending, like in a dashing detective story, will be completely unpredictable.
