Born in Yelets, Lipetsk region. In 1998, after completing his studies   at the Moscow Choreographic Academy (Vyacheslav Mikhaylov’s class)   joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company.
 In 2000, he won the 3rd prize at the International Ballet Competition in Moscow. 
 His constant coach is Nikolai Fadeyechev.
