Evgenia Muravieva

Soprano

Born in St Petersburg (Russia), Evgenia Muravieva graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2008 (class of Prof. Irina Bogacheva). While a student Evgenia made her debut as Tatiana in Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky at the Rimsky-Korsakov Opera and Ballet Theater.

In 2007-2011 she was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers.

In 2009 she appeared at the Mariinsky Theater as Pannochka in May Night by N. Rimskiy-Korsakov, followed by the role of the First Dame in Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart.
Her recent repertoire at the Mariinsky includes the title part in Salome, Gutruna (Götterdämmerung), Countes Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Lyubka (Semyon Kotko), Liza (The Queen of Spades), Natalia (The Oprichnik), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin).

In 2010-2014 as a soloist with the St Petersburg Chamber Opera Company she performed the following roles: Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Mimi (La Boheme), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Nedda (I pagliacci), Tosca (Tosca), Liza (The Queen of Spades), Ksenia (Boris Godunov), Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly), Natasha (Not only Love).
Also in the repertoire: Leonora (Il trovatore), Liu (Turandot), Micaela (Carmen).

In 2016 Evgenia debuted at the Komische Oper Berlin in the part of Tatiana (Eugene Onegin).

In August 2017 she made her Salzburg Festival debut as Katerina Lvovna in production of The Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk by Shostakovich (conductor Mariss Jansons, director Andreas Kriegenburg) and received great critical acclaim.

In February 2018 Evgenia Muravieva appeared at the Bolshoi Theatre as Liza in new production of The Queen of Spades (conductor Tugan Sokhiev, director Rimas Tuminas).
